Serving the Fair Oaks area since 2008, Stage Right Productions is a 501c3 Non-Profit for the Performing Arts. In addition to receiving numerous Elly nominations, representing excellence in theatrical performance from the Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance (SARTA), we were also voted 'Best in Fair Oaks Entertainment, in 2021'. We believe in providing quality theatrical experiences for performers of all ages and abilities, and providing family friendly shows at family friendly prices.
Artistic Staff
Jenny Krack, Artistic Director
Jenny has directed and produced almost 100 shows. She has studied theater arts and directing at a variety of venues including San Jose State, B Street Theater, Sacramento Studio Theater and Berkeley Repertory Theater. Jenny has been accepted and attended both Yale University’s Summer Directing Intensive, and the Director’s West Lab Intensive sponsored by Stage Directors and Choreographer Society and the Pasadena Playhouse. In addition to her studies in the arts Jenny is an Occupational Therapist concentrating on Neonatal Development, currently working with UC Davis Medical Group.
Karen Van Tassel, Director/Choreographer
Karen has been involved in theatre since she was a child. She played Molly in the national touring company of Annie and from that moment on she was hooked. She has spent 12 years studying various forms of dance and she minored in Musical theatre at the University of the Pacific. Karen has worked with many theatres in the Sacramento area directing children's programs and acting herself. She is the cheer coach at Bella Vista High School and GEA All Stars. Dance and performance is her passion. She loves to bring the excitement of a musical number into a show and loves bringing the theatre experience to children. Stage Right Productions gives her the opportunity to do both and she is honored to be a part of this amazing staff.
Tracy Martin Shearer, Vocal Director
Tracy first vocal directed for Stage Right years ago when the production team staged Beauty and the Beast. She has been hooked ever since! Most recently she vocal directed Bye Bye Birdie, and has received Elly nominations for her work on The Tempest at American River College as well as on Stage Right Production's, Les Miserables. Tracy is on the Theatre Arts faculty at American River College, and also teaches voice and acting at the Hawkins School of Performing Arts. In addition, she directs and vocal directs productions for both ARC and the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Music degree from University of the Pacific and a Master's in Theatre from CSUS. When she's not teaching, she's thoroughly enjoying her two school-age daughters, both of whom delight and amaze her every day!
